No. 01 · Week-by-week syllabus

A real sequence, not a playlist

Six numbered weeks. Every week ends in a deliverable a reviewer actually checks — plan roughly twenty focused hours per week.

Course workspace: 23 lessons · 11 reads · 6 checkpoints · 6 reviewed builds

  1. 01~20h effort

    Week 1 · Toolchain & Bare-Metal Foundations

    • —ARM Cortex-M architecture and memory map
    • —GCC cross-toolchain, linker scripts, startup code
    • —GPIO, clocks, and datasheet reading discipline

Deliverable: Blinky + UART echo firmware on target MCU

  2. 02~20h effort

    Week 2 · Peripherals: SPI, I2C & Sensing

    • —SPI and I2C protocol analysis with logic analyzer
    • —Sensor drivers: temperature, IMU, ADC sampling
    • —Interrupt-driven acquisition and ring buffers

Deliverable: Multi-sensor driver library with test logs

  3. 03~20h effort

    Week 3 · RTOS Scheduling & Concurrency

    • —FreeRTOS tasks, queues, semaphores
    • —Deterministic timing and watchdog supervision
    • —Power-aware scheduling for battery nodes

Deliverable: RTOS sensor hub with timing report

  4. 04~20h effort

Week 4 · Connectivity: MQTT Telemetry

    • —Wi-Fi provisioning and TLS device identity
    • —MQTT topics, QoS, and offline buffering
    • —Cloud dashboard wiring and payload schemas

Deliverable: Live telemetry stream to cohort dashboard

  5. 05~20h effort

Week 5 · Capstone Build: Sensing Node

    • —Enclosure, power budgeting, field calibration
    • —Stability-testing methods and documentation
    • —Failure-mode analysis and documentation

Deliverable: Capstone build notes and test log

  6. 06~20h effort

Week 6 · Final Project Review

    • —Project reflection on firmware and hardware decisions
    • —Completion review against the published rubric
    • —Training-completion record when requirements are met

    Deliverable: Final project submission

No. 02 · Capstone portfolio

What you actually build

No copy-paste tutorials or toy repos. Every enrolled student submits a production-grade portfolio project evaluated against an industry rubric.

Track Capstone Project

Smart Environmental Monitoring Node & Telemetry Hub

Graded Submission

Industrial-grade sensor node built with bare-metal C, FreeRTOS multi-threading, and MQTT Wi-Fi streaming.

ARM Cortex-M (ESP32/STM32)Bare-Metal CFreeRTOSSPI / I2CMQTT / TLS

Portfolio Deliverables Checked by Reviewers

Modular bare-metal C driver library for multi-sensor data acquisition
FreeRTOS task scheduler with deterministic watchdog supervision
Wi-Fi provisioning with offline ring-buffer and cloud telemetry
Hardware power-budget calculation and component BOM report
No. 03 · Review standards

Checked by named reviewers

Reviewers are named at cohort start and published with the batch. They check every submission against the rubric — passing names appear on the certificate.

  • Every submission checked against a published academic and technical rubric
  • One fair remediation attempt if a deliverable falls short of acceptance threshold
  • No certificate without passing code checks — payment never substitutes genuine review
  • Cryptographic verification QR permanently linked to your individual submission records
No. 04 · College directory

Where ECE / EEE students take this track

Matched by branch against the BEU college directory — not an affiliation claim. Academic credit is decided by each college's T&P cell, so ask your HoD to review the syllabus before you enrol.
