Structural Design with STAAD.Pro & Site Execution
A structural project track covering load basics and IS-code awareness, STAAD.Pro modelling and analysis, RCC member design and detailing, and site-execution documentation.
A real sequence, not a playlist
Six numbered weeks. Every week ends in a deliverable a reviewer actually checks — plan roughly twenty focused hours per week.
Course workspace: 23 lessons · 11 reads · 6 checkpoints · 6 reviewed builds
- 01~20h effort
Week 1 · Loads, Codes & Structural Reading
- —Dead, live, wind, and seismic load literacy
- —IS 456 and IS 1893 awareness and where to look things up
- —Reading a structural drawing set without guessing
Deliverable: Load calculation sheet for a small frame
- 02~20h effort
Week 2 · STAAD.Pro Modelling
- —Grids, members, supports, and releases
- —Material and section assignment discipline
- —Model-checking habits before any analysis run
Deliverable: Model file with supports and sections assigned
- 03~20h effort
Week 3 · Analysis & Load Combinations
- —Load combinations and why each one exists
- —Reading BMD, SFD, and deflection output critically
- —Deflection and drift checks against limits
Deliverable: Analysis report with BMD/SFD and deflection check
- 04~20h effort
Week 4 · RCC Design & Detailing
- —Beam, column, and slab design basics per IS 456
- —Reinforcement schedules and bar-bending notes
- —Detailing rules that survive site conditions
Deliverable: Design sheets with reinforcement schedule
- 05~20h effort
Week 5 · Execution & Site Records
- —Shuttering, concreting, and curing checklists
- —Measurement-book entries and cube-test logs
- —Progress documentation a site engineer can file
Deliverable: Site-execution file with checklists and test log
- 06~20h effort
Week 6 · Final Project Review
- —Project reflection on modelling and design decisions
- —Completion review against the published rubric
- —Training-completion record when requirements are met
Deliverable: Final project submission
What you actually build
No copy-paste tutorials or toy repos. Every enrolled student submits a production-grade portfolio project evaluated against an industry rubric.
G+1 Frame Analysis, RCC Design & Execution File
Structural design file: STAAD.Pro model with analysis report, RCC member design sheets with reinforcement schedule, and a site-execution file with checklists and test logs.
Portfolio Deliverables Checked by Reviewers
Checked by named reviewers
Reviewers are named at cohort start and published with the batch. They check every submission against the rubric — passing names appear on the certificate.
- Every submission checked against a published academic and technical rubric
- One fair remediation attempt if a deliverable falls short of acceptance threshold
- No certificate without passing code checks — payment never substitutes genuine review
- Cryptographic verification QR permanently linked to your individual submission records
